A bit about me…

I work as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Chair for Logic and Foundations at the University of Bonn. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego, where I wrote a dissertation on a foundational question in the philosophy of logic. Before that, I completed an M.Sc. in Logic at the ILLC in Amsterdam.

I am fascinated by the way meanings emerge, move and change through language. Most of my research is, in one way or other, concerned with phenomena relating to the way meaning is generated, accessed or communicated in logic, language and mathematics (best to see Research for more details).

Outside of philosophy you might find me hiking, enjoying slow cinema, or playing the occasional game of chess (the peak has long passed). On the left is a, more or less recent, picture of myself.
